With Panther guitarist Satchel shredding through the familiar opening chords, Durst and singer Lexxi Foxx trade verses, with Durst even going into the crowd for the last few lines.

The 7-inch will only be available at participating independent retailers, very much like how other acts release Record Store Day exclusives.

The new dates begin July 7 with an encore performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Second shows have also been added in Detroit, the New York/New Jersey area and Philadelphia.

Thus far, Van Halen has confirmed a total of 61 stops throughout North America.

At this point, the tour wraps Aug. 18 in Cincinnati.

A Different Kind Of Truth is the band’s first full-length offering with original singer David Lee Roth since 1984 was released in January 1984.

This song has a classic Van Halen sound to it, as it originally appeared on a 1976 demo.

Via MetalUnderground.com, fans can stream “Black Discharge,” while Guitar World is hosting “Imperium Wolves” and “Nourishment Through Bloodshed” is available on their official website.

Job for a Cowboy kicked off a five-and-a-half week North American run of dates at the South by Southwest music festival as part of the Metal Alliance Tour.

The band is joined by The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom, Wretched, and headliners, Devildriver.

The March issue of Decibel magazine picked up two EVH axes for review, the EVH Wolfgang USA Custom and Wolfgang Special Stealth.

The magazine’s take on the USA Custom was short and sweet.

“The guitar really wants to become a part of you,” said Decibel. ”In a word, this instrument is ‘remarkable.’”

The Wolfgang Special Stealth didn’t stay far behind, receiving high marks on its inflections and tones.

“Wonderful overtones and shimmering inflections were likely what EVH aimed for here,” said the magazine. “And [he] certainly delivered.”
